Alike Data Stores are a collection of unique data blocks which can be stored locally or remotely from the Alike server. These data blocks can optionally be encrypted to protect sensitive production data.
Alike deduplicates, compresses, and encrypts VM images and stores them in its highly efficient data store. Alike supports point-in-time restore by versioning each Xen snapshot.
Alike can connect to one or more XenServer hosts. Alike understands XenServer resource pools and is capable of backing up a VM regardless of which host it currently resides.
Alike can schedule jobs that can make the installation and administration of your XenServer environment easier. XVA files can be exported to a filesystem of your choosing on a schedule.
