As of version 1.37, Alike introduced a new feature called self healing storage.
This functionality is completely automated and is enabled by default. While complex under the hood, it is conceptually very simple:  If Alike encounters corruption on any of its deduplicated data, it will automatically seek out new, valid copies of that data to repair itself again.

So, by way of example, if a portion of data used by a VM becomes corrupted, Alike will detect this due to its multiple levels of checksuming and data integrity checks.  Upon the next backup of any VM (not just the original), Alike will scan for the usual data changes, and will also look for any of the corrupted data, and will repair itself when it finds it.
